The same odds can be written in three different formats — decimal, fractional, and American. All three mean the same thing; only the way they are expressed differs. The two examples below make the difference clear.

Example 1 (Team A win): Decimal 2.50 means a ৳1,000 bet returns ৳2,500 — that is ৳1,500 profit plus your original ৳1,000 back. Fractional 3/2 and American +150 say the same thing.
Example 2 (Team B win — favourite): At decimal 1.80, a ৳1,000 bet returns ৳1,800 — profit of ৳800. American −125 means you need to bet ৳125 to win ৳100 in profit (minus odds always indicate the favourite).

Multi Bet and Betting Exchange — Detailed Examples
Multi Bet
A multi bet with three selections combined — decimal 1.60, 1.80, and 1.90. The combined odds are 1.60 × 1.80 × 1.90 = approximately 5.47. A ৳100 stake returns ৳547 if all selections are correct. But if any one selection is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Multi bets offer higher returns but also higher risk — one loss out of three means everything is gone. Starting with small stakes is the sensible approach.
Betting Exchange
In an exchange there are two roles — BACK and LAY. BACKing Team A at decimal 2.00: on a ৳1,000 bet, if Team A wins you profit ৳1,000 (before commission); if they lose you lose ৳1,000.
When you LAY, you take the role of the bookmaker — LAYing a bettor staking ৳1,000 means your liability is ৳1,000 (1.00 × ৳1,000). If Team A does not win you profit ৳1,000; if they do win you pay out ৳1,000.
